Across The Universe Review

Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1)
Description from goodreads
A love out of time. A spaceship built of secrets and murder.
Seventeen-year-old Amy joins her parents as frozen cargo aboard the vast spaceship Godspeed and expects to awaken on a new planet, three hundred years in the future. Never could she have known that her frozen slumber would come to an end fifty years too soon and that she would be thrust into the brave new world of a spaceship that lives by its own rules.
Amy quickly realizes that her awakening was no mere computer malfunction. Someone-one of the few thousand inhabitants of the spaceship-tried to kill her. And if Amy doesn't do something soon, her parents will be next.
Now Amy must race to unlock Godspeed's hidden secrets. But out of her list of murder suspects, there's only one who matters: Elder, the future leader of the ship and the love she could never have seen coming.
 REVIEW:
This book was amazing!!! I have never read anything like this before!!!

At first I thought I would stay away from this book, from the Title I thought it was based off the movie, but I quickly learned when I picked this up for a book club on here, it was very much unlike the movie.

I was hooked from page one, for one thing, what was happening seemed so impossible and life on GodSpeed was so different than it is here on Earth. There was no diversity (which I would hate), Everybody acted like a zombie, they had no personality, they did what they were told, there wasn't conflict between the people. It was very different.

When Amy awakens from being frozen, she is so much different than everybody. Her skin, her hair, her eyes, all so differnt than what the people are used to on GodSpeed. It causes a problem.

I really liked this book, it was amazing, and different, I cannot wait for the next one(I think theres one). 5/5
